Natural gas is used for feedstock and fuel. Natural gas as feedstock usually used by petrochemical industry, while natural gas as fuel has the same function as fuel oil.
There are four main groups of a natural gas users :
1.
Residential users, use natural gas in their homes to fuel furnaces and appliances such as stoves, water heaters and clothes dryers.
2.
Commercial users, use natural gas in businesses such as restaurants, hotels, and hospitals.
3.
Industrial users, use natural gas for heating and drying processes and as fuel for steam boiler, furnace, dryer, oven, etc.
4.
Electric utilities or Power Plant, use natural gas to generate electricity.
