The Company is optimistic that its fi nancial performance for 2007 will continously enhance in line with the operation of South Sumatera-West Java Transmission Pipelines which delivers gas from Pertamina Gas Field in Pagardewa and ConocoPhillips Gas Field in Grissik, both in South Sumatera, to industrial customers in Western part of Java. Therefore the distribution volume will increase from 323 MMSCFD in 2006 to 555 MMSCFD in 2007.
To keep the business sustainable in the future, the Company has made a study on business development in the core business, the supporting business and also implementing applied technology which support the core business. The study was aimed to assure reliability and sustainability of nature gas business through gas sources mapping which was intended to secure gas supply with various transportation modes. The study is also made to develop other transportation modes such as LNG and CNG.
The Company also conduct study on market expansion to potential areas and new emerging market, and made strategy on new market penetration through CNG and LNG technology.
Further, the Company also plan to develop Coal Bed Methane/CBM, that has lots of reserve in Indonesia, as one of alternative source of energy in the future. This CBM development is prioritized in South Sumatera. The infrastructure for CBM will be directly connected to SSWJ.
Transmission pipeline. In relation to the sustainable core business development, the Company also conducted a study for other business expansion such as engineering consultancy, Operation & Maintenance (O&M), and subsidiary in fibre optic telecommunication. In the mean time, applied technology was focusing on:
1. Review over the reliability and eff ectiveness of meter and volume corrector used in natural gas transaction.
2. Optimizing of SCADA use in distribution and transmission system.
3. Advancement of technology on effi ciency through co-generation.
4. Exertion of gas fuel for mass transportation.
